Residential - Engineered Flooring
Engineered
flooring refers to a product which has a real wood surface laminated
to a real wood backing. Because these floors are very stable (they
resist the otherwise normal expansion and contraction of wood),
they are the flooring of choice for a concrete base – such
as found in condominiums or basements.
Engineered
flooring is an ideal option when considering flooring in certain
exotic species that tend to be less stable in our environment. Depending
on the product, they are either glued directly to the concrete or
installed over foam or cork using a floating floor system.
Some
products available require that the boards be glued together whereas
others simply click together and float without the need for glue.
