Residential - Engineered Flooring
Engineered flooring refers to a product which has a real wood surface laminated to a real wood backing. Because these floors are very stable (they resist the otherwise normal expansion and contraction of wood), they are the flooring of choice for a concrete base – such as found in condominiums or basements.

Engineered flooring is an ideal option when considering flooring in certain exotic species that tend to be less stable in our environment. Depending on the product, they are either glued directly to the concrete or installed over foam or cork using a floating floor system.

Some products available require that the boards be glued together whereas others simply click together and float without the need for glue.

Products Available:

Mirage
Mirage offers engineered pre-finished hardwood flooring with tongue and groove Micro-V bevel on four sides. The sawn hardwood surface is the thickest available in engineered flooring – 5/32” (4mm) on a five ply plywood base measuring 7/32” (6mm).

The flooring can be installed over wood, concrete or radiant heating system and can be stapled, nailed or glued down depending on the sub-floor. Herringbone is also available and can be installed in a single, double pattern or in an English pattern (bricks). In addition, the longer length strips (7/8”) can be laid in a basket or cube pattern.

  • Strip available in eight species and twelve colors
  • Strips measure 3/8” x 2 9/16” or 3 5/16” widths with five assorted lengths per box
  • Herringbone available in 3 species and 5 colors and must be glued down to a wood, concrete or radiant heated system floor. It measures 3/8” x 2 9/16” and comes in lengths of either 13 ¾” or 17 7/8”
  • Matching pre-finished moldings and accessories
  • Installation Method - Glue down/Nail

Vintage
This engineered line offers the smallest “micro V” in the industry and superior lengths.

The product is 7 ply and totals 9/16” in thickness. It has a 3mm solid sawn face veneer.

This product can be nailed, glued or floated over existing floor.

Laurentian
The Appalachian Collection of engineered flooring is eight times more stable than solid wood. Laurentian has a stain, wear and burn resistant finish and is available in semi-gloss or satin. The strips come in micro-bevels and eased edges and need to be glued or nailed down.

Torly’s offers a glue-less system and patented Uni-Clic joint. The floors can be installed on, above or below grade. A practical floor that can be floated over existing floors – wood, ceramic or concrete. A convenient choice that can be walked on immediately after installation. Can be re-installed 3 times when reusing the floor.
